Prerequisites for SharePoint 2013 Workflow Manager

 Following are prerequisites for SharePoint 2013 Workflow Manager

 

     1. Ensure SharePoint farm is at least updated to March 2013 PU (SP1 is recommended).

 

     2. Ensure App Management Service is configured and started.

 

     3. Check User Profile Sync Service.

 

     4. Create setup and service, accounts and groups..

 

 4.1 Open AD server to create the following two account.

 

              wfsetup to setup workflow manager.

              wfsrv to run workflow manager service.

4.2. Create Workflow Setup account.

4.3. Create Workflow Service account.

4.4. Create workflow administrator group.

4.5. Set group name to "WF Admins".

4.6 Add SharePoint Admins to WF Admins Group.

5. Add workflow setup account to SQL Server.

 

  5.1. Open Management Studio > Login

 5.2. Security > Right click on Logins > New Login.

5.3. The following dialog open

5.4. Click on Search to find WF Setup Account

 


5.5. Server roles select “sysadmin“ role then click on OK.

6. Add workflow setup account to administrator group in workflow server.

 

Open Server Manager > Tools > Computer Management > Local Users Ad Groups > In Administrator Group > Add WF Setup Account as Member.
